Halina Poswiatowska

1935-1967

“The Poet of Love”

A graduate of Smith College,

Polish poet, Halina Poswiatowska  published three volumes of poetry:

“Idol Worship” (1958); “Today” (1963); and “Ode To The Hands” (1966).

Halina died in 1967 at the age of thirty-two

and came to be known

and revered as the “poet of love”.

She is buried in the cemetery of St. Rocha in Czestochowa.
