Author’s Introduction
In 2003 I wrote a family memoir. In 2004 I put it away . . . for the time being anyway. It caused a stir in the family and an upset with my sister. She was dying of cancer and I felt it best to honor her request. Actually, she threatened to put a hex on me if I didn’t. She has passed, as has her husband who caused the objection. At some point down the road, I will publish it. All in good time.
What follows is the prologue of our family story: “If It’s Not One Thing… It’s Your Mother.”
The second reading is the epilogue.
Someday you’ll get to read the book to see what’s in the middle.
— Catherine Frances (Clemens) Sevenau
