Tribute to Helen Fabela Chavez

Introduction
Saturday, January 21st would have been the 95th Birthday of Helen Fabela Chavez, the wife of Cesar Chavez, the founder of the California Farmworker Movement in Delano California in 1962. To honor her legacy, the San Francisco Mission District’s Non-Profit organization “MNC- INSPIRING SUCCESS ” yesterday sponsored the First Annual Helen Fabela Chavez Legacy Celebration.
To mark Helen’s legacy I offer you a tribute I wrote for her some years ago and delivered to an audience of 1,000 people in San Diego.
