Between Skin and Glove

Written by August Bover

Translated from the Catalan by Kristine Doll

Narrated by Kristine Doll

Spain

With your gloved hands

and your masked face,

you confront the threat

dressed as if attending a formal ball.

You have learned to overcome

the barrier of obstacles

the disease has raised.

You throw yourself into combat

yet still transmit tenderness

even through the gloves.
