Bill Wolak is a long time contributor to Syndic Literary Journal so when I was casting about to find an author to write a piece about City Lights Book Store & Publishers located in San Francisco’s North Beach District, I asked Bill if he would be willing to submit something about City Lights for Syndic’s 10th Anniversary special issue.
I could not be more pleased! Bill put on his William Paterson University Professor’s hat and gives us what amounts to a semester’s seminar course about the revolutionary impact of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s City Lights Bookstore on American Poetry.
